Cecilia Yau

Free to Love and Free to Serve
recording by Cecilia Yau

Cecilia Yau turned to the book of Galatians to explore the meaning of freedom for Christian women and men. She discusses the call to be free (Gal. 1), the loss of freedom and its consequences (Gal. 2), what happens when freedom is a human effort rather than Spirit-led (Gal. 3), and the relationship between freedom and maturity (Gal. 4). Throughout the session, debate over women's roles is considered in light of what the Bible says about all believers' freedom to serve in love (Gal. 5).

CECILIA YAU has been serving with the Chinese Christian Missions in California since 1974. Her ministries include publishing, preaching and counseling. She received her masters degree in Journalism from Wheaton Graduate School. She has authored several books, most recently editing Gender Reconciliation: Men and Women Become One in Christ with Dora Wang and Lily Lee.
