John & Carolyn Kohlenberger

From Hierarchy to Mutual Submission
One Couple's Journey
recording by John & Carolyn Kohlenberger

Should all women be homemakers and school their children at home? Do smarter men make happier marriages? In this workshop, John and Carol Kohlenberger shared what they have learned on their long journey together including dating, education, marriage, children, work, and church community, and how they both eventually came to realize that they were really Christian egalitarians.

Carolyn has worked as a mediator and lay counselor and has her Master's degree in counseling from George Fox University. Carolyn also serves as executive director of Sunnyside Counseling Center, Portland, Oregon.
