Oh Thou Woman That Bringest Good Tidings, by Dana Hardwick

Oh Thou Woman that Bringest Good Tidings
The Life and Work of Katharine C. Bushnell
by Dana Hardwick

FROM THE INTRODUCTION

Who was Katharine Bushnell? She was said to be fluent in seven languages, including biblical Hebrew and Greek; she was a missionary physician of considerable ability; she was well traveled; she was a central figure in at least three crusades of national and international significance for the restoration of the dignity of women....

Katharine Bushnell's particular mission was to bring the good tidings of freedom and equality to women everywhere, and she directed all of her talents and energies to that end. This is a study of the life and work of Katharine Bushnell, with particular attention being given to the factors that influenced her to be the "woman that bringest good tidings" (Bushnell's translation of Isaiah 40:9).
