Personalization

Detailed Description

Hear the incisive logic of I. Howard Marshall, the empathy of IVCF executive Bob Fryling, the historical perception of Stan Gundry, and the biblical insights of Alice Mathews. In this compilation of three workshops and a panel discussion, egalitarian leaders, published in Alan Johnson’s book, How I Changed my Mind About Women in Leadership, offer personal reflections on their egalitarian journey at the recent Evangelical Theological Society Meeting. These leaders speak persuasively, with intellectual vigor, and with great emotion for the cause of biblical equality.

ALICE MATHEWS is distinguished professor of educational ministries and is now academic dean of women's ministries at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is widely known for her participation in the daily RBC Ministries radio program Discover the Word and speaks regularly at women's retreats, conferences, and churches.

I. HOWARD MARSHALL is emeritus professor of New Testament exegesis and honorary research professor at the University of Abderdeen (Scotland). He is chair of the Tyndale Fellowship for Biblical and Theological Research, former president of the British New Testament Society, and chair of the Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians.
STANLEY N. GUNDRY is executive vice president and editor-in-chief for the Zondervan Corporation. He has been an influential figure in the Evangelical Theological Society, serving as president of ETS and on its executive committee. He is adjunct professor of historical theology at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and author of seven books and numerous articles.
ROBERT A. (BOB) FRYLING is publisher of InterVarsity Press (Westmont, Illinois) and vice president of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (Madison, Wisconsin). He writes, speaks, and teaches in the areas of spiritual formation, leadership, Christian faith, and culture. He lives in Illinois with his wife, Alice, an author and spiritual director. Together they have co-authored three books.
