Detailed Description

This article summarizes and concludes a debate between Richard Cervin and Wayne Grudem over the proper understanding of the Greek word "kephale."

In 1989, Richard Cervin published the article "Does Kephale Mean 'Source' or 'Authority Over' in Greek Literature?: A Rebuttal" in response to Wayne Grudem's original article "Does Kephale Mean 'Source' or 'Authority Over' in Greek Literature?"

After Wayne Grudem's response to his rebuttal, Cervin, in 1991, formulated his own response "Peri Tou Kephale: A Rejoinder" and a short summary of the debate. This summary and article are included in this PDF download.
